Additional notes: I read Eggplant Parmesan two nights ago, and I'm just a bit in love with it. I've never read anything like it. And I really, really wanted to paint veggie!H/D.

I took a break from my current project and painted this in a whirlwind yesterday. I love surrealism but haven't ever done anything truly surreal (it's always been more traditional), so this was a lot of fun. But by the time I finished it and took a good look at it, I wasn't so sure it should have been done! I wrote marguerite_26:

You see, unlike the fanart that red_rahl did, which was adorable, this is
just sort of creepy. And it was meant to be, being surrealism and all. But still.
Should I post it? Do you think she'll like it? Should I dispose of it??? LOL.

Your painterly style just blows me out of the water, it's so fantastic! I love the texture of the skin and those eyes are so awesome (even as I get creeped out when I stare at them long enough)! The colors are so vibrant and it really does look like vegetables laying out in front of a black backdrop...that happen to be staring at you...*twitches* XD

Aw, thank you thank you thank you!! It's Dark!Veggie!H/D!!! *adores* I can imagine these two in the storage cellar doing some very depraved sex acts... like, waxing, bondage. Watersports, even! *aims sprinkle on them*.

Oh, with eyes like this, they'd find each other anywhere. Draco's eyes look at little sedated ... it's the "you don't want to know what I'm dreaming of doing to you" look! And Harry. He's watching, the calm a challenge.

Your painting skill is amazing. The eggplant's skin, especially, look so real. Love their stalk, and Harry's scar really looks like it's a wound from the past. Yeah, dark. *nods affirmatively*.

May I make an icon out of this? Actually, I am totally thinking about making my theme based on all the adorable vegetable art I have been given. That would be mightly awesome.... *schemes*
