Additional notes: I read Eggplant Parmesan two nights ago, and I'm just a bit in love with it. I've never read anything like it. And I really, really wanted to paint veggie!H/D.

I took a break from my current project and painted this in a whirlwind yesterday. I love surrealism but haven't ever done anything truly surreal (it's always been more traditional), so this was a lot of fun. But by the time I finished it and took a good look at it, I wasn't so sure it should have been done! I wrote

I think it's wonderful and the slightly creepy part for me is the way the eyes seem to give the entire vegetable personality. Brings new meaning to still-life since there does seem to be life in the vegetables!! Thank you so much for shaing..

Your painterly style just blows me out of the water, it's so fantastic! I love the texture of the skin and those eyes are so awesome (even as I get creeped out when I stare at them long enough)!
